Coaching in a DifferD way to help others grow

About myself

My intention

Coaching with feeling

My intention is to support you in your personal and business development, like I have been able to grow with the support of employers and coaches.

Growing as a person, as a partner, as a parent, as a colleague and as a manager. Respect for your individual needs and personal background is important to me.

For me, this has to be much more than the ambition to be successful or perform well at work.

This story is about me and probably also about you because given your visit to you my website.

When I started working, I ended up in a managerial position at an Italian IT company before I became thirty. For me as a 'down-to-earth Frisian' a real culture shock. On the one hand, working with passion, warmth, and many personal relationships. On the other hand, a culture with big egos where one of my managers literally sat on a platform in the workplace to run the company.

Although I enjoyed working for this company, I knew then that this was not the way I wanted to work. Later in my career I have worked as an (interim) manager, trainer and consultant for various IT and management consultancy companies.

As a consultant I have worked for many government organizations and multinationals over the past 20 years. There, too, I often ran into situations I felt that could have done different. In these organizations, people often 'had' to change because others wanted them to. Not because they wanted it themselves.Personal development and growth often were out of scope. Something that unfortunately still happens to this day.

What I have learned over the years is that making permanent changes takes time, attention, patience, courage, and perseverance. You can compare this to sports. For example, with running and training for half or full marathons. One of my other passions. See also the common ground here. Management styles, cultures and training schedules may differ. At the end, they all have the same goal. Making people better and successful. Ideally, with respect for people's individual needs and qualities without them getting sick or injured.

In my work I have built experience with different management styles, cultures, and organizations. Next to that, I have experienced that success in your work is highly impacted by how you are doing on a personal level. I want to use this experience for structural changes on a personal and business level.

Just because I am convinced that the approach makes the difference!
